Catalpa x erubescens 'Purpurea'

The Purple Catalpa makes a grand, showy display each spring, as huge new leaves of dark purple emerge. Flowers cover the treetop with large panicles of white blooms dotted with yellow and purple specks while foliage begins to turn its summer coloring of bronzy green. In autumn, leaves turn yellow.
