Shingle Oak is a medium large shade tree in the red oak family. It has a pyramidal form, becoming rounded with maturity. Shiny, gray-green, oval leaves are unlobed, unlike the typical oak shape, and turn to yellowish bronze in fall. Commonly used as street trees or in parks. Native to the Midwest.
