'Seiryu' is Japanese for "Azure Dragon", a symbol of the Chinese constellations representing Spring. The tree is an unusual bright green, upright, laceleaf maple whose spring foliage is lightly tipped with red as the leaves unfold. Fall colors are quite spectacular, ranging from strong gold to light yellow with a suffusion of crimson in most leaves. A colorful dragon indeed! Stunning and rare, this is a true collector's plant. Hardy to zone 5.
