Carpinus betulus ‘Fastigiata’

Columnaris/Fastigiata Hornbeam produces dark, glossy green foliage that turns yellow in fall. An excellent screen due to the dense compact nature of its ascending branches, it is rather formal in appearance. Tolerant of heat, it has lovely gray bark.
