Spiraea thunbergii 'Ogon'

Mellow Yellow is a dense Spirea with profuse early spring blooming of small white flowers along graceful arching stems. Foliage emerges bright yellow, aging to a medium green through summer, then blazes to a deep burnt orange color in fall. For a striking color contrast in your landscape, plant near 'Procumbens' Blue Spruce, red 'Blazing Sunset' Geum, and 'Violet Riot' Salvia. Hardy to zones 4-8, will grow to 3-4' tall by 4-5' wide. Easy to sheer to promote fresh color midsummer.
