Taxodium distichum

The Bald Cypress is a distinctive, handsome, large tree with fine textured foliage. Sage green needles develop a yellowish brown autumn color and then fall from the branches in the winter. A conifer native to Indiana, and even further north. Very tolerant of swampy and saturated soil, this is a great choice for a site too wet for other trees. Hardy to zones 4-9.
