Heptacodium miconoides

Seven Sons Tree is a multifaceted ornamental plant with appeal that lasts all year long. It can be used as a large shrub or a small tree, growing in an open vase shape to 15-18' tall by 8-10' broad. The tan, gray and brown exfoliating bark seems to peel in long, half-inch wide strips, revealing lighter colored interior. Pink flowers appear from late August through September. Hardy to zones 5-9.
